Fluoride ion is the best known trace element to be applied in order to prevent dental caries and remineralisation of early opaque enamel lesions. 

Fluoride varnish applied on the tooth surface in every 6 months strengthens the enamel and fights the acid and bacteria to protect the teeth. 

Children between the ages of 6-14 have both baby teeth and permanent teeth. Their habit of eating junk food and inadequate brushing habits can be harmful and may lead to tooth losses in early ages. 

Fluoride varnish along with fissure sealants might prevent children having caries for lifelong.
